Mission
The mission of the Park Trades Art Studios Association is to promote and develop a community of visual creation.
- To represent the best work being done today by both local emerging and established artists.
- To offer the public opportunities to visit and interact with a variety of artists in an open studio environment.
- To promote, market and provide opportunities for local artists to pursue their creative interests and showcase their work through demonstrations, classes and exhibitions.
- To seek fund-raising and promotional opportunities for members of the Park Trades Art Studios Association.
- To establish rapport with local arts organizations and governmental agencies for the continuing development of downtown Kalamazoo as a cultural activity center.
- To demonstrate the diversity and merging of both arts and crafts.
- To interact with underserved and/or nontraditional arts audiences.
- To become a creative incubator for
local emerging and established artists
and craftpersons.
- To create an internal forum for creative exchange.
